Like any other major decision that we make in life, I was apprehensive about accepting the call from Pilgrim Home Church to serve as their pastor. After much prayer and soul-searching, I was certain that God was leading me to become a part of this ministry that I have grown to love with all my heart. My first Sunday as pastor was on July 4, 1993. The Church provided a meal after the service that Sunday morning to welcome our family to theirs. Everyone wore name tags to make it easy for us to learn their names. They have gone the extra mile to assure us that we are a family of the closest kind. We have laughed together and suffered loss together and like each victory, our tears have cemented a relationship that shall never be severed. We have enjoyed many meals together since that first Sunday and Pilgrim Home Church continues to make us feel welcome and at home.

I am highly impressed by their compassionate heart. Pilgrim Home Church actively seeks to help those that need assistance. They are energized by the words of Christ who said, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethern, ye have done it unto me. God has greatly blessed this church for their faithful obedience and unselfish giving in ministering to others.

They have proved over and over that they are not satisfied to rest on their past accomplishments; they continue to press forward to fulfill God's will for his people today. Change does not come easy, but with caution this Church has sought to provide excellent facilities to train today's disciples of our Lord. They have dedicated themselves to be pro-active in the service of the King.

I am very proud to acknowledge that one of the best things that ever happened to me in this life has been my privilege to serve as pastor of Pilgrim Home Church for these last 18 years. it is a Church that fosters harmony with others while developing a personal relationship with Christ.
